Your generosity helps provide essential food and support to those in need. We welcome donations at our Lake Cares Main Mount Dora location, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Donation Guidelines
To ensure we are providing safe and high-quality food to our clients, please check expiration dates before donating. We kindly ask that all items be within their expiration date to help us maintain a safe and reliable food supply.

In addition to general food donations, we also encourage participation in BOGO (Buy One, GIVE One), Food and Fund Drives, and Pet Food donations—all of which make a meaningful impact in our community.

Many stores offer BOGO deals—but at Lake Cares, we like to think of it as Buy One, GIVE One! The next time you take advantage of a BOGO offer, consider donating the extra item to help a neighbor in need. Your generosity can make a real difference!
Food and Fund Drives
Thanks to the generosity of businesses, organizations, and individuals who care deeply about their community, Lake Cares is able to thrive through food and donation drives.
You can help us meet the growing need for food and services by hosting your own food or donation drive to celebrate a special occasion. We’re here to support you every step of the way! Share your plans with us, and we’ll help promote your drive on our Facebook page and through our network of volunteers and supporters.

Food for Pets
For many seniors and families, their beloved pets come first—even before their own meals. At Lake Cares Food Pantry, we understand the deep bond between people and their pets, which is why we gladly accept pet food donations to help those in need care for their furry companions. Donations of all types of dog and cat food are greatly appreciated, but please ensure packages are unopened.
